I came, I saw, I learn

MACC Summer School: Understanding diversities of cultures

Veni, Vidi, Vici (I came, I saw, I conquered) was said by Julius Caesar after he achieved a victory in the Battle of Zela. In MACC Summer School programme, the only thing you will conquer is your mind where you will have the experience of expanding your knowledge and open up your horizon on history, culture, heritage and community of Melaka city.

But knowledge is futile if one does not practice it or share it with the world. Funny thing about knowledge is, the more we share, the more we will gain from it. The experiential learning in MACC Summer School programme is not only based on presentations by the facilitators but also first-hand experience of learning the culture of the city by interacting with the locals, witnessing the historic buildings and remnants of Dutch and Portuguese periods and much more. The city tells its stories, the participants listen and learn. But at MACC Summer School we believe that everyone has a story to tell. Hence, participants not only get to ask questions, discuss but also tell the story of Melaka city from their point of views. How do they feel about the city? How is it different from their countries? What makes the city special to them?
